It is the desire of the McLean Little League’s Board of Directors to include every eligible child who wishes to play Little League baseball and softball.
Financial aid is available. Simply request a full or partial fee waiver by sending a brief letter to the League office at P. O. Box 222, McLean, VA 22101-0222 explaining your need for this assistance.
Refund Policy for Registration Fees
The league realizes that sometimes your plans change after you register your child, such as a move out of the area, which will not allow your child to play baseball or softball in the spring or fall.
Our refund policy is, as follows:
Children Ages 9 and Older:
If you notify MLL prior to the draft in the spring or prior to your child being assigned a team in the fall, you will be refunded your registration and volunteer fees in full, less a $20 processing fee.
If you notify MLL after the draft or after teams have been assigned in the fall, MLL will not issue a refund.
Children Ages 8 and Younger:
If you notify MLL prior to their being assigned to a team, you will be refunded your registration and volunteer fees in full, less a $20 processing fee.
If you notify MLL after their being assigned to a team, MLL will not issue a refund.
Refund of Non-Volunteer Fees:
In the spring of each year each family is charged $50 as a Non-Volunteer Fee as part of the fees charged during the registration process. Each family has the option to request a refund of $50 using the Volunteer Refund Voucher which is found on our web site under Documents. To receive the refund, a parent has to complete one of the volunteer activities on their child's registration form. The other option is to take the $50 as a contribution on their tax return for that year. In order to receive the $50 refund, the family must request the refund by December 31 of the year the activity was performed.
